Dr. Kevin Joseph Marchant I| DPT

​As a two-sport college athlete and the College Athlete of the Year, I transitioned into a role as a sports performance coach and personal trainer. My experience includes playing professional football and semi-pro basketball, as well as winning the Golden Glove title in boxing in the Midwest. I realized that I wanted to be more than simply an athlete, so l leveraged my experience and education to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy.​I had the opportunity to practice my clinical studies in Los Angeles, where I was first introduced to pilates as an adjunct to physical rehabilitation, working under the clinical guidance of PT Lisa Hieden. I worked with professional athletes on one end spectrum, with geriatric and bone density programs on the other.

The HIVE Story

I loved incorporating pilates and with rehabilitation and dreamed of starting a similar practice on the East Coast. I have been practicing physical therapy for the past 11 years. I began in SNF and transitioned to home health in 2016. I am the primary therapist for the East region at Hartford Healthcare at home. I worked with my wife, Anna, in developing our reformer exercise program that finds the balance between a fun dynamic workout and one that generates longevity through the tactics I utilize in my physical therapy career.

We want to create a place where community comes to find a common goal. That is to live a healthier life, so we can maximize our time spent with loved ones.



Our Classes

Signature 0

Signature Zero is where your Hive Method begins. This is your foundation—the first step in your Hive Formula—where we assess, align, and teach your body how to move with intention.

Rooted in breath, core activation, and optimal alignment, this class breaks down the fundamentals of how you stand, stabilize, and control movement. You’ll learn the “why” behind what we do, building true body awareness and a strong, intelligent base.

Don’t mistake foundational for easy. With guided, intentional pacing, you’ll feel the work, connect deeper to your body, and leave stronger, more aligned, and more prepared for everything that follows inside the Hive.


Signature 1

Signature One is where foundation meets intensity—the core of your Hive Formula.

Building from the alignment, breath, and control learned in Signature Zero, and layering in the strength, pace, and challenge of Signature Two, this all-levels class is designed to meet you where you are—and take you further.

Expect intentional progressions, added resistance, and smart use of weights to build strength, stability, and control. You’ll be coached through the “why” behind the work while being pushed to move better, stronger, and with purpose.

This is the Hive Method in action—education meets intensity. Come ready to be challenged, to learn your body, and to experience one of the most effective, results-driven workouts you’ll find anywhere.


Signature 2

This high-intensity class is designed for experienced clients. Expect heavier weights, complex reformer movements, and faster transitions—modifications are not offered. A solid foundation in core stabilization is required for safety. Signature 2 is upbeat, challenging, and fun—you’ll lift heavier, move quicker, burn more calories, and fully embrace the Hive way.

Hive Bootcamp

Get ready to sweat, move, and push your limits. Hive Bootcamp is a high-energy, science-backed class designed around HIIT to recruit and preserve powerful type II muscle fibers—the ones responsible for strength, power, metabolism, and quick reaction time, all of which naturally decline as we age.

Blending reformer work with dynamic floor circuits, this class combines cardio, strength, plyometrics, agility, and core for a full-body, metabolic push.

This isn’t just intensity—it’s the Hive Method in action. Train with purpose, move with intention, and build strength that carries into real life.


Hive Boxing

Our West Coast–inspired, city-style boxing class blends strength training on and off the reformer with high-energy bag work—designed to do more than just make you sweat.

This is the Hive Method, backed by science. Through explosive combinations and HIIT-style intervals, you’re training your fast-twitch (type II) muscle fibers—the key to power, speed, metabolism, and most importantly, quick reaction time. As we age, these fibers decline first, impacting balance, coordination, and our ability to react quickly (think: catching yourself from a fall or moving with agility).

Expect dynamic combos that challenge both body and brain—improving coordination, sharpening reflexes, and building real-world strength.
